I think this was the first family photoshoot in my ten years in business that ended in a water fight! This was the second time I’ve photographed this gorgeous family. Their first shoot was at West Dean Gardens near Chichester and they suggested a family photoshoot at Bosham Quay (again, near Chicester) for this shoot which turned out to be a fabulous choice!
It was lovely to see how much their son Alexander had grown up since I last saw him. He was very relaxed in front of the camera and we chatted lots about school and his love of tennis.
It was my first visit to Bosham and I loved it! There are some wonderful colourful backdrops and it’s is a great location for capturing a wide variety of photos. I especially loved this blue door and gate post which contrasted well with Alexander’s shorts!
We had an enjoyable walk around Bosham and stoped at various spots for photos – the pontoons were great for the family to sit on.
As always, once we’ve got the more formal family pictures ‘in the bag’ we get into the more relaxed photography. This family was a bit more relaxed than most and ended up wading into the river and starting a water fight!
Bosham is a beautiful place to visit – you can read more about it on this page. Just a word of warning about car parking though. There are lots of pictures online of cars who’ve parked and come back to find their cars submerged when the water has come in. Make sure you take note of the tides!
