Family Photoshoot in Haywards Heath

If you’re in the Haywards Heath area (or in fact anywhere in Sussex!) and looking for a family photoshoot you’ve come to the right place!  I’ve been a family photographer for over ten years and over that time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing hundreds of children and families.  My photoshoots are taken outside and are all relaxed and natural.  I’ve got lots of tricks and games up my sleeve which will allow your shoot to flow,  you’ll enjoy it and you’ll love your pictures afterwards – I promise!

I wanted to share some pictures from this gorgeous family photoshoot taken in Wivlesfield Green, near Haywards Heath.  The family wanted the photoshoot at home and we made good use of their gorgeous garden and outside space.  My dream meadow was behind the house – full of daisies and long grass – a perfect backdrop for pictures.

Don’t worry if your house doesn’t come with a meadow attached, I have lots of locations to recommened and love discovering new spots – together we’ll find somewhere that suits.  I often start the family photoshoot at home and then go for a wander, sometimes to your local park or on your favourite dog walk.

I’ll give your children gentle prompts throughout the shoot – I find it’s best to keep them a little busy!  Older siblings are usually great at looking after the younger ones and sometimes just asking them to go for a little walk is an opportunity to capture magical moments and sibling interaction.  I photograph children of all ages and have plenty of experience with teenagers too.

As a dog owner myself I know what an important part of the family they are and I love including your pets in your family photoshoot.  Dogs are great to have around when your children may be feeling a little reserved at the beginning – they are a great distraction and become the main focus.  Children are usually happy to cuddle or walk their dog and want to include them in the family photos.   I think it’s fair to say Crumble enjoyed his time in the limelight.

I always take a mix of more formal family and sibling photos as well as individual portraits.  As the shoot progresses we’ll run around more and get the much more relaxed pictures.  I’m open to a little bribery and ice-creams were a well deserved treat at the end of this shoot!
