I often get asked about the difference between my full Family Sessions and my Mini-Sessions – hopefully the information below will help you to decide which session is more suited to you!
Family Sessions
I’ve been photographing family sessions for 8 years now. I generally only book one session per day and allow around 2 hours for your shoot. My Session Fee is £145 and covers my time taking pictures and editing your gallery. Your shoot is tailored around your family and I can either come to your home, somewhere special to you or we can find somewhere new. I send you a questionnaire or chat to you before hand to find out exactly what you would like to get out of the shoot and what products you are looking to purchase so that I can shoot accordingly. Not having a time limit as such means I can get to know your children a little bit more and ultimately get more relaxed photos especially if your children are shy.
You will have a large selection of images in your gallery from which to choose from – generally around 50. Families usually purchase frames, print boxes or albums and spend anything between £300 and £2,500 on their final products.
Mini Sessions
As the name would suggest, Mini Sessions are shorter than my normal Family Sessions and a great introduction to my Family Sessions. They are particularly suitable for families wanting fewer images or wanting a taster of my family photography. By photographing several families in one day and in one location I’m able to keep my costs down and therefore the sessions work out cheaper for you. My Mini Sessions are £245 for a 25 minute shoot and include your favourite 4 digital files with matching prints.
Mini sessions are ideal for smaller families to allow me time to capture you all. If your children are a little shy (or quite the opposite!) you would be better off booking a custom session to give us more time to get to know each other.
