On the 7th March 2024, Tarring Manor Care Home in West Sussex was officially opened by Sir Peter Bottomley, MP. I had the pleasure of photographing the event in the purpose-built modern care home situated next to Tarring Park in Worthing.
I loved capturing the interactions between the staff and the residents, it was evident that strong relationships had been formed between the two.
Here is one of the beautiful rooms that was open for viewing.
The head chef provided beautiful canapés which were handed out by care home staff.
There was plenty of entertainment, including a great caricaturist who captured some remarkable likenesses as you can see from the pictures below.
Popcorn the dog enjoyed the event too!
Sir Peter Bottomley, MP officially unveiled the plaque.
The videographer and I worked well together which is essential when we are trying to avoid each other in our shots. You can see some of his videos on the Tarring Manor website.
As with all great events, there was dancing and I love this photo of one of the staff members dancing with a resident!
